Battle Mages n‘apporte rien. On aurait pu lui pardonner quelques maladresses d‘interface et ses partis pris pas très convaincants, s‘i1 n'était pas finalement aussi ennuyeux : ni les combats, ni les aspects aventure ou jeu de rôlesque ne suscitent l’intérêt. Rayon technique, sans démériter. les Russes de Targem Games n’impressionnent pas particulièrement. Au final, il y avait sur le papier tous les ingrédients pour faire un jeu intéressant, mais la sauce ne prend jamais.
