Que l'on compare les détails ou la somme des parties, Faces of War se fait littéralement hacher menu par Company of Heroes. Le jeu souffre en effet de cette concurrence qui, non content de souligner toutes les petites insuffisances et le manque de rigueur du titre, en profite pour piétiner ses plates-bandes et pour piquer sa clientèle potentielle. Les joueurs qui cherchent un STR historique doivent se tourner vers le jeu de Relic. Ceux qui en ont déjà profité éviteront soigneusement Faces of War qui se transforme en véritable pensum une fois qu'on a connu COH.

- Get immersed in the heat of the world war II, command American, English, Soviet and German troops during world-renowned battles that include D-Day, new winter missions and the storming of Berlin
- Complex team AI for new tactical opportunities: AI controlled soldiers don't simply execute any order given by a player, they think how to do it in the most efficient and safe way.
- Realistic physics: anything can be destroyed or manipulated and used to player's advantage

- Faces of War is affected by the GameSpy shutdown on the 31st of May. You can continue to play the game through LAN, DirectIP and GameRanger.
