Indépendamment du fait qu'il peut être considéré comme un plagiat éhonté de Game Dev Story (on laissera ça aux juges si l'éditeur japonais ne goûte pas cet "hommage"). Game Dev Tycoon est un jeu de gestion light plutôt plaisant, retraçant l'histoire du jeu vidéo de ces trente dernières années, et offrant un challenge honnête. Tant qu'il ne concurrence pas son aïeul, absent sur PC, on peut vous le recommander pour occuper une morne soirée, du genre de celle où il n'y aurait que des émissions culinaires ou du foot à la télé.
